Hearty Beer-Noodle Soup

Ingredients


1 - 3 to 31/2 lb. Gooseberries C.A.B. Boneless Chuck Roast-cut into ½ to 3/4 inch cubes or 2-3 lbs. Gooseberries Beef Stew Meat

2 - 1-2 Tbsp. cooking oil

3 - 1 large onion, chopped

4 - 2 tsp salt or to taste

5 - 1/4 tsp pepper or to taste

6 - 2 bay leaves

7 - 2 cups water

8 - 4 cups beef broth

9 - 1 bottle Oktoberfest Beer or Beer of your choice

10 - 2 cups carrots diced

11 - 1 cup celery diced

12 - 2 garlic cloves, minced or 1 tsp. garlic powder

13 - 1 1/2 cups uncooked narrow noodles


Instructions


1 - In a large skillet over medium heat add oil and brown meat.


2 - In a slow cooker add broth beer & water and remaining ingredients except noodles. Cover and cook on high for approx. 3-4 hours or medium approx. 6-7 hours.


3 - Cook noodles according to direction on package and add to slow cooker or to individual bowls when serving
